Yes, this is exactly how I received a bike that was shipped to me for one of my customers. He actually won this bike via auction on eBay. Suprisingly, it arrived undamaged! Probably because it was a "bombproof" hardtail from the mid 90's. I DO NOT recommend shipping a bike in this fashion.
