It's hard to believe that I've been doing this thing since May. This thing that I dubbed RogueMechanic is growing into something that has the potential to make an impact. Not only in the cycling industry, but it can network into other industries that require technical and skilled mechanics/technicians. For now, I will only be focusing on the industry that I know well.
Looking back over the past 6ish months has been a real eye-opener. One thing that I have come to believe is that I can no longer move forward doing what I do and not burn some bridges. Unfortunately, this is going to be unavoidable. RogueMechanic brings to light the incompetence, illegitimacy, and unprofessionalism that saturates this industry. I also will have to spend a considerable amount of time and energy un-doing what has unfortunately become the status quo or common practice. One example is relying on taking your bike to a bike retailer (shop) to get need repairs, maintenance, or advice. This is only the beginning. This blog-thing is gong to be fun... -John
