Now that I am out from under a ton of work, I can resume posting. It has been kinda busy lately... but nothing I couldn't handle. It's good to be busy at this time of the season. It's not like it was when I had the store....
I have in front of me the July 2004 Cleveland Yellow Pages. Looking under "Bicycles-Dealers" I see the following; Bicycle Boulevard, Bike Authority, Bikes Boards Skates, Brecksville Velo Sport, Century Cycles (4 locations), Cycle Sport & Fitness (2 locations), Easy Rider Bicycle Shop, Eddys Bike Shop (4 locations), Fairview Cycle and Fitness, Fantasy Toys Lowrider Bicycle and Hobby (oh my...), Fleet Bike Shop, Fridrich Bicycle Inc. (a Cleveland institution...), Garfield Bike Shop, Gordon Cycle and Supply, Hi-Tech Cycles, Hubbub Custom Bicycles, Independence Bike Shop, Lorain Triskett Cycle and Fitness, Marty's Bike Shop, Marty's Cycle Center, Odens Bike Shop (who?!?), Ohio Bikes and Boards, Parkside Cyclery, Parma Cycle, Royal Cycle, Schneider's, Shaker Cycle (W5th goes thru Shaker?), Ski & Sport Haus, Solon Bicycle, Spin, ...whew, I'm getting tired typing...but I'll go on...Spoke-n-Wheel Cycle Center, The Triathlete Store, Westgate Cycle. I think I'm done. Now, I counted 40. Forty shops just in the Cleveland area! This list is not up to date because a number have already closed or are in the process of closing. I just received word today that Hubbub Custom Bicycles is in the process of selling their remaining inventory... Now, who's next? -John
