Additions and advice...

I'm in the process of adding more features to this blog.  While I already have some ideas as to what I want to do, I also want you ask you, the readers, what you would like to see.  I'm always open to suggestions.  Today I added client testimonials (in the left sidebar).  I'm also considering pod casting and Mobile blogging.  Give me some ideas...

ABG, I have a question...

How long should one have to spend making a seatpost that should fit in a seat tube fit? If the frame is spec'ed to accept a 31.8mm seatpost, should a 31.8mm seatpost fit?  Is it acceptable that the ID is so tight and irregular that it scratches the crap out of the seatpost?  The might be acceptable for a $299.99 recreational mountain bike, but how about a $3800 frameset?  How difficult would it be to check to see if a seatpost actually fits in the frame before it ships out to the consumer?  OK, I better get off of my soapbox.  The battery for my cordless drill is done recharging....

Beer with Ben and the 3/25 follow-up

Last Thursday I met up with Chris, Sandy, Ben, some of his buddies, and fellow Marines from the 3/25 with whom he served with during his recent deployment to Iraq.  Prior to his deployment, Ben told both Chris and myself that if he makes it back from Iraq, he'll have a beer with us.  This was kind of a big deal because Ben has never had a beer or any other adult beverage before.  Well, since he's a man of his word, the day of his return, he came to us to lead him down the right path as he enters the wonderful world of micro brews.  I adhere to the quality over quantity rule.  Better to have 1 or 2 really good beers rather than 5+ crappy ones.  Anyway, Ben did good.  We all had some fun and I had the opportunity to meet some great people.   

Vicious Cycles

I've been meaning to post something here for the last couple of months about Vicious Cycles.  I have been nothing but impressed with everything that I've seen from this small builder.  Besides the overall quality of the frames and forks that I've had the opportunity to see and work with, the quality of the paint jobs are great.  Here's a few photos that I had taken awhile ago...

Welcome Home Ben

Today I went to Brook Park to welcome back the 3/25 Marines who are returning from deployment in Iraq, more specifically Ben McNair.  Those of you who were regulars to BC know Ben.  Below are a few pictures of the homecoming.
